What wonders will we find among the stars?
Using an equatorial mount and a dedicated astronomy camera, I'm able to capture images beyond sight. From my backyard, overnight my camera runs. Taking tons of pictures of the same target, I stack them together to bring out the detail in the faintest of nebulae. Some of the fainter targets require the use of special filters to really bring out the detail, such as the one to your left. These filters work by cutting out all light except for the specific ionized gasses. Hydrogen Alpha and Sulfur II are infrared, while Oxygen III and Hydrogen Beta are in the blue-green spectrum.
